“Pastisseria Escribà” is an historial Barcelona family business. Founded the July 25th 1906 when Mateu Serra i Capell (1876-1945) first opened the “Forn Serra”.

Nowadays managed by Christian, Escribà’s 4th generation has it’s aim exciting, surpising and creating unique and unforgettable moments. /strong>

Antoni Escribà i Serra, 1930-2004, was the 3rd Escribà’s generation in front of the Escribà Pastry Shop (old “Forn Serra”) located at Barcelona, Gran Via 546. Known as the “Chocolate Mozart” or “Chocolate Magician” by his chocolate sculptures he won more than 24 gold medals in pastry competitions all arround the world between 1956 and 1977.

Certainly, Antoni Escribà has become a twentieth century gastronomic reference, a revolutionary in chocolate world. He was the first avant-garde spanish pastry chef” Ferran Adrià.
